Since 2007, has been working between the Edmonton and Wood Buffalo regions in wear component manufacture / repair, crane & heavy haul, and secondary metallic coatings. 8 years of experience in the metallic coatings industry between Inotec Coatings & Hydraulics and CASL Surface Technologies. Facilitator, husband, and father to a 3-year-old boy – Atticus – who has already informed his father he will be a heavy equipment operator when he grows up.

Machinist of 30 years by trade. Worked just about as long with every aspect of pumps (manufacture, repair). Settling in nicely at CASL Surface Technologies since coming back on board late in 2024. I’ve always enjoyed finding solutions to wear problems.
DESCRIPTION:
We will provide an overview of Chrome / Nickel Chrome Plating, PTA, Laser Cladding, Spray & Fuse, and Thermal Spray methods of applying secondary metallic coatings on various product families within the industry. There will be a focus on the thermal spray process. Insight into the specifics of each process, advantages, disadvantages, cost, and relevant product families these processes are used for within the industry.
